3 Ways To Find Out What Your Clients Want From You
You may have heard the words repurpose your content and provide content that you’re clients and audience want to hear from you, but don’t repurpose without a plan. Let’s place the focus back onto your ideal client and find out what type of information they want and how they want to receive it.
Step One: Analyze Your Blog Posts, Social Media Posts and Current Products
Time for some easy analysis. Take a look at your blog post dashboard and take note of the posts with the most comments or opens. Now take a look at some of your social media posts, you can find sooooo much incredible data in the analytics section of Instagram and the business of Facebook. From likes, comments, to when your audience loves engaging in your posts - it’s all there and it’s sometimes forgotten to check in to measure what is actually working and what is not. Lastly, take a look at your current list of products, your retail, and services you offer and note which ones sold like hotcakes and which ones flubbed, what is your top-selling service, and what could you potentially fade out of the menu. From this, you now need to distinguish what out of this list made you the most money. If for example, facials are most popular but you are not making a good profit, then the data shows it’s time to raise your prices!!!!
Step Two: Ask Your Audience
Don’t be afraid to ask your audience what they want. You are the expert and you need market research. Create a survey, create a poll on social media, or send an email asking about their struggles and how can you help. Based upon the size of your following, you’ll likely get many different answers but you’ll also begin to see a common thread. Add these topics to your list from above.
Step Three: Do Some Spy Work
Where does your ideal client hang out online? Forums, certain social media platforms, do the love posting on Instagram and you see them constantly watching your stories, but have not become a client yet? Figure that out first and then quietly observe the comments they make in these places. You may see common questions about skin, or notice a common struggle these people all have in common. If you can offer them a solution, you’ll gain the interest of these people because you’re addressing them by engaging and not waiting for them to somehow find out about you!
